I belive that the best way to find out whether the person you want to be with feels the same way about you and whether there is a chance of a realtionship between you working is to tell them how you feel.

You should meet your crush and discuss with them how you feel and whether or not they feel the same way about them and how strongly. If they do like you back then you should discuss trying a realtionship and seeing how it works.
